AJK Dream House Ltd. was founded in Mississauga in 2024 by Ken Nguyen and Thi Hoang — twenty years of combined experience in construction and interior design, brought together under one name. The work that followed came the way it does in this trade — one finished kitchen leading to the neighbour's basement, one landlord recommending us to another.

That shaped how the company runs. We are not a sales office that subcontracts the actual building to whoever is free that month. The people who quote your project are the people who show up to it, and the number on this website reaches someone who can tell you what happened on your site today.

Today we work for homeowners and property investors across the Greater Toronto Area, Halton, Hamilton and Durham Region — full home renovations, kitchens and bathrooms, basements, flooring, painting, and fix-and-flip work scoped against a resale number.

Meet the Founders

Two founders. One standard.

AJK Dream House Ltd. brings together construction expertise and interior design creativity — twenty years of combined experience across both.

Ken Nguyen

Co-Founder — Construction & Project Management

Ken is the driving force behind the construction and execution of every AJK Dream House project. With extensive experience in residential construction and home renovations, he's built a reputation for exceptional workmanship, quality finishes, and projects completed with precision.

His hands-on leadership keeps every renovation to the highest standard of craftsmanship, with clear communication and attention to detail from start to finish — every successful renovation begins with trust, quality materials, and doing the job right the first time.

Thi Hoang

Co-Founder — Interior Design & Client Experience

Thi brings creativity, vision and thoughtful design to every renovation. She works closely with clients to understand their lifestyle, preferences and goals — colour coordination, space planning, finishes and décor — helping homeowners create interiors that are both beautiful and practical.

From the initial consultation to the final styling touches, she makes sure every detail contributes to a space that feels warm, inviting, and uniquely yours.

How We Got Here

No investor round, no rebrand — two founders who'd already spent two decades between them in construction and interior design, doing the work themselves under their own name.

Before AJK

Twenty years between two trades

Ken Nguyen built a career in residential construction and project management. Thi Hoang built one in interior design and space planning. AJK Dream House Ltd. is what happened when they combined both under one name.

Not values — commitments. Each of these is something you can check we actually did.

We won't quote your job over the phone

Every estimate follows a site visit and real measurements. A number given down the phone is a guess, and guesses are what turn into change orders later.

The quote is itemised and in writing

Materials, labour and timeline, broken out so you can see where the money goes and remove things you don't want. The number you sign is the number you pay.

The estimate costs you nothing, and no is a fine answer

The consultation and written quote carry no obligation. If the figure doesn't work for you, that is a perfectly reasonable outcome and we won't chase you about it.

We handle the permits

Where your municipality requires them, we file the application and manage the inspections as part of the project. You should not be the one on hold with the city.

Your home gets protected every single day

Floor protection, dust barriers and a tidy site at the end of each day. You are still living around this work, and a job site that respects that is not an extra.

You get a milestone schedule, and told early if it slips

The timeline is agreed up front with checkpoints. If something threatens it — a back-ordered material, a failed inspection — you hear it from us when we find out, not at the end.

We tell you when you can't live in it

Most single-room projects, you can stay. For a full home renovation it is usually easier if you don't. We'll be straight about which one you're in before work begins, not after.

Nothing is signed off until you've walked it

We finish the punch list together at handover. The project is complete when you say it is, not when the last invoice goes out.

If a finish fails, we come back

We stand behind our workmanship. Something not right after handover, call the same number and we return to put it right.

When we'll point you elsewhere

Said up front, because finding out in week three costs you far more.

  • Emergency same-week repairs — we schedule crews by project, so we're rarely the fastest option for something urgent
  • Single-trade callouts — one radiator, one light fitting. A specialist will be quicker and cheaper than us.
  • Jobs where the budget and the brief genuinely don't meet — we'll tell you the honest number rather than win the work and find out later
  • Work outside our service area — if you're beyond Hamilton or Clarington, ask anyway and we'll say so straight
